Rodrigo Santoro as Hector Escaton in Westworld.
It’s simple; I believe that only the truly brave can look at the world and understand that all of it – gods, men, everything else – will end badly. No one will be saved.
Also like can we take a moment to appreciate Elsie friggin’ Hughes? She’s probably my favourite character and she’s impulsive and blunt and sarcastic and tenaciously curious and she’s not afraid to call people out, like that scene when Bernard was lecturing her and she just cuts him off like, “Don’t be patronizing” but not in a scolding way, more like in a “you’re not gonna hurt my feelings, you don’t have to treat me with kid gloves, let’s not waste time and just get to the point” kinda way and I sort of love that about her???? And like she’s so intellectually curious about everything that I think either she misses those social cues in situations where you’re not supposed to ask questions, or she just doesn’t give a fuck. And I’m really starting to think it’s the latter. And she’s so seemingly harmless, but also really assertive and shrewd? Like especially when she blackmailed the butcher dude haha oh my god that shit was priceless
And she’s basically me and I love her and I’m prolly gonna make some gifs, idk
HIDEO KOJIMA WATCHING WESTWORLD!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND HE LIKES IT
I WISHED HIM TO WATCH IT AND IT COME TRUE
omg yes, I love him
– Holy shit! You popped your cherry.
– I thought you said we couldn’t get shot.
– Yeah, well, we can’t get killed. Wouldn’t be much of a game if they can’t shoot back.
Westworld so far has basically been:
“We’ve let them evolve.”
“Ruined a perfectly good robot is what you’ve done. Look at them. They have anxiety.”
