omg i can’t believe you wrote “Mr. Self Destruct”! you’re so incredibly talented my goodness that fic broke me T_T it was a nice deviation from one-sided ocelhira i’m used to even if that does make sense in context, what with ocelot having a tendency to chase after people who aren’t as into them as he is them. it makes me wonder how many in his unit waited for him to notice them like he wanted bb and kaz to notice him? he deserves to be loved like he loves ppl! anyway, i love your writing~

omg thank youuuuuuuuuuu!!! YEAH like as I was writing it I kept second guessing it and wondering if it was too ooc because Kaz at the very most tolerates Ocelot’s presence on his best days but the main thing that inspired me to write it was when I started thinking about that one little passive aggressive “I barely recognize you, Colonel” when Volgin’s corpse was brought back to MB and it made me really want to explore how he must have felt about having the body there and how much it must have wrecked him emotionally and we never got to see that? We just saw him make this snide remark at the corpse and then wander off into a doorway and isolate himself. Just the way he spits out Colonel like it’s the nastiest word in the world really resonated with me and made me feel like we get this fleeting insight to a whole world locked away inside Ocelot that we never get to see. And the entire narrative of that fic was centered mainly around that, I just really wanted to make him vulnerable and have someone comfort him and I think in that specific situation Kaz likely would have set aside his personal feelings because he would have been able to empathize with Ocelot’s situation the most. And I really do genuinely believe if they’d met organically outside of their respective missions, they absolutely would have been on better terms, they were just victims to circumstance and it breaks my heart to think about what could have been if they weren’t so wrapped up in BB’s shit.

I’ll probably write another one eventually! I have so many WIPs in my drafts and I keep jumping around between them because I have COMMITMENT ISSUES and a horrible attention span so I’ve been trying to focus on getting them finished but I have been tentatively planning on doing another one ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

omg I haven’t! admittedly I don’t read that much MGS fic ( ⚆ _ ⚆ ) but I remember that being a common kink back when the MGS kink meme was still fairly active. bUT UM. Anon if you don’t mind, I may stash this away as a future prompt because I haven’t really had any new ocelhira ideas and I kind of want to write PW era ocelhira eventually =D Because that honestly sounds like a thing BB would be into if only to appease his own weird tastes and he’s immensely disappointed in the variety of porn the 70s has to offer. >.>

Imagine Kaz not even knowing it’s *Ocelot* either, because he’s never met him or seen him, just heard BB talking about him in passing so he thinks this is just some random new recruit named Adam and BB intentionally omits telling him. Later when they officially meet on their own terms, Kaz doesn’t really make the connection but he *swears* he’s met Ocelot before =D =D =D 

we know that big boss doesn’t really hold hygiene in the highest regard while ocelot’s hygeine is immaculate but why can I picture big boss denying ocelot a kiss after a bj bc “dick lips” whereas ocelot likes to jump on boss after he’s been on missions? It’s like that mgs3 codec call where ocelot eats all of big boss’s food to be “closer” to him and big boss just thinks it’s the weirdest thing

OH GOD LOL HE WOULD. BB might eat anything, but he draws the line at his nether regions especially when he’s been squatting in a swamp for days =D

Okay okay…. questions: do you prefer MGS3 era (to a few years later) Bosselot or post-MGSV era Bosselot? Similarly, do you prefer Medic/Kaz orrr VKaz more? I’m in my feelings TuT

OH MAN admittedly I don’t pay enough attention to Bosselot buuuuut I guess MGS3 era? Because I just love that friendly rivals thing they had going on, it was a lot more, like…playful, I guess. Baby Ocelot was trying so hard, my heart just melts for him. 

And that’s a hard one ‘cause holy shit I love both mkaz and vkaz SO MUCH. Like vkaz is so great because it’s more or less canon, you SEE these guys interacting intimately and their dynamic is so soft and heartwarming and there’s something in there that just feels so sincere and they very clearly need each other very much but I think maybe mkaz wins out a little bit more? I just love the idea of them having something together in the PW era and them having some small time of carefree happiness together before all the angst and identity issues. Plus I love exploiting the whole doctor!patient dynamic and medic patching Kaz up WITH EXTRA CARE all the time because I’m an unoriginal sap and will swoon for that shit always. Plus I love writing mkaz more just because it’s easier (I’m a lazy writer lol), since medic’s personality is a wild card and you don’t have to worry about nailing characterisation. Venom’s so difficult because he’s not canonically a dialogue-intensive character and that’s so difficult for me to work with sometimes.  ｢(ﾟﾍﾟ)

This might be outta nowhere but i’m playing TPP again and remembered your headcanon post for how Ocelhira was one-sided on Ocelot’s part but what really got me was that this was Ocelot’s 2nd time being unrequitedly in love w/ someone not interested in him, the first being BB. He fell for guys using him as an object. It breaks my heart every time I think of Ocelot never truly getting his love reciprocated bc we know he has so much to give, just not to the right people and I’m crying now THANKS

YEAH omg I still hurt my own feelings all the time just thinking about how Ocelot had Kaz’s sunglasses on him THAT WHOLE TIME. And then later how it was most likely Ocelot that had to kill Kaz and just how screwed up of a situation that would have been. Like you can obviously tell during their conversation at the end of TPP that Ocelot really doesn’t want it to come to that so I keep imagining how that would have gone down, like no wonder he used a neurotoxin to take Kaz out rather than a face to face fight, kitty wouldn’t have been able to do it ( ˃̣̣̥ω˂̣̣̥ )
