I think like if you squint it could maybe be some kind of super lightweight flexible pvc? Perhaps modified to conduct electrical impulses and mimic flesh LOL

Like this is one of many instances where the writers probably didn’t think that far into it or found it too insignificant to be worth addressing so fanfic writers have to come up with really elaborate headcanons so things can make sense 😂😂😂
