I’m actually old enough to remember a time when the most interaction you could hope for from your favorite writers was sending them fan mail to their editor (via the US POSTAL SERVICE where you had to pay for STAMPS AND SHIT like a goddamn troglodyte) and then wait 6 to 8 weeks for their secretary to mail you back an autographed picture

Fast forward twenty years later and my favorite authors regularly respond to me and recognize me in comments on their facebook statuses and answer questions and have conversations in real time like holy cow what a time to be alive

Like. People are connecting with their favorite writers, who write books, that we read, you’re seriously going to shit on that, lol get out
