And like. ftr. I’ve worked in the bar/nightlife scene for a decade, worked everywhere from cabaret/strip clubs to gay clubs from Vegas to Orleans to Austin and I’ve got some bad news for the kids who think a 23 year age difference is problematic when a good percentage of the couples I’ve had the honor of serving beverages to had a similar (or greater) age gap between them so omg it’s happening in real life all around you everyday omg

Yours truly here was in a casual D/s arrangement with a 51 year old man at age 27
(also: I initiated)

and I’m pretty sure neither of us died or ended up severely injured or scarred for life and it was 100% consensual and not problematic at all  except for maybe the fact that he was my boss also whoops but that’s irrelevant

I mean I can totally understand if the age difference makes people uncomfortable and they’d rather not see it, I totally respect that, but maybe let’s be adults and not attack a situation before having actual experience with it. Just unfollow the people who reblog it and blacklist the damn tag or something ‘cause I guarantee the only thing roadrat shippers are gonna do when they see someone in the tags salivating over how it’s problematic~ is block them and keep on making art and writing fic for it. It’s not abusive just because it squicks you. That is not what abuse is. =/
