maybe, just maybe you should stop tracing all your ‘drawings’, just saying. Hate when someone use the phrase ‘I use it for reference’ NOOOOOOOOO, you’re JUST fucking tracing a picture or even worse, a piece of work from other artist. It offends me terribly, because with every drawing I do (without fucking tracing) I work hard to do X pose, sometimes i’m literally days with the same sketch e_e and then comes a little piece of shit that trace pictures/drawings and I CAN see the mistakes in those so call ‘drawings’ because unlike you I can do my own drawing without trace.

@eternalspring-kore I agree with you. It’s so easy to trace but in the end you don’t win anything because you’ll be always someone you are not.
I get frustrated when I draw and it’s so hard to get what I want, I even cried when I the drawing didn’t turn out as I wanted.
I fell so upset when someone becomes popular by posting drawings they have traced. It’s not fair.

The ones who break their backs drawing, with tears and blood, we know how to recognize when someone is tracing. Those who trace have no shame at all and zero respect for other artists…

Not fair at all.

That’s one of the things that will make me leave one of my dearest fandoms if this continues…

I’m not a very sophisticated critic of art or anything, but there are times when I look at a drawing and find something very off-putting and dodgy about the linework, which I’m starting to realize is due to it likely being traced. Traced art (and photomanips passed off as original art as well – I see this a lot in other fandoms) lacks a certain… I don’t know, emotion, I guess? It’s just very flat and kind of an eyesore. And it’s insulting to artists who put so much effort and emotion into their work and don’t get half the recognition. It’s basically reinforcing “cheating” as a means of getting recognition and showing that hard work and practice will always be unrewarding. And that’s not how it should be.

That being said, it’s kind of a testament to how shallow tumblr and fandom is in general, that some people are compelled to fake it because they feel that’s the only way they’re going to make friends and gain a following in a community that seems to only appreciate artists =/

Not that that’s an excuse. Integrity should always supersede the shallow desire to be popular.
